Hellooo Medilag !
Well, this last week was pretty boring at first in Medilag- the public holiday and all. Most students left school for the post- Ramadan fast celebrations. Happy Eid-el-fitr to all our Muslim brethren in arrears although you guys slyed us, there was no rice and meat for us to celebrate with. But no problem, Sallah is there for you to right the wrongs (remember that Mary is 3 months pregnant
)
Even after the public holidays, students were very reluctant to resume back to the hectic schedules of the College of medicine.
Wednesday saw us going back to the usual monotonous life of classes, labs and clinical postings.
On Thursday, we had the “How well do you know your sport” competition.It was held at the long tennis court and it began at around 7/8pm at night. It went well although it started pretty late.
The competition became comical when questions like “Who won the French OPEN in 2004?”, “Who won the rifle shooting something something in Belgium ‘08” and the contestants who were clueless as to the answer to the questions, gave answers like – “COMPSSA league, sport sec”.
The baseline was that everyone had fun.
Coming to the highlight of the week which was Friday, was the auditions of the Medilag’s got Talent at the New great hall. It was It was dope although they started late, we were treated to a variety of talents – the good, the bad and the outright hilarious.
As usual with all talent hunts like this, 80% of the contestants came to sing. The stage saw different peeps coming to display something to the audience and judges

Earlier that day at The University of Lagos, was the first ever scripted concert “THE EVENT” which went down at the main auditorium of the University of Lagos. it was a highly hyped event.
In case you’re wondering what “THE EVENT” was all about, It’s a music, dance, comedy and drama event. It was kind of like an art event. All in all, it’s was 100% lit. The organizers really did their best in delivering what they promised. Everything went well until DSA showed up. To get a brief review of “THE EVENT”, watch this space for the next post
