My Medilag Experience - 13 reasons why.

When Tiffany, Medilag Essence’s Lanledi, asked me for a piece on any of my vast experiences in this college, I found this quite a difficult task to pull off. Difficult, because I’ve made a lot of lasting memories in this school, choosing one is like picking a puppy from a litter of cute puppies.
Recently, a Microbiology student committed suicide allegedly because of Extra year. A fellow member on Medilag Essence made a statement “Lets act like some of us have not seriously considered it”.
That sentence alone got me reminiscing overnight, which became the inspiration behind this article. I had to ask myself if CMUL has ever made me consider suicide or question my sanity. I pride myself with the notion of loving life yet the answer to my self-proclaimed question would be a big yes.

The Bus-stop tale

There are days i wonder if money ever feel betrayed by their holders. A single hundred naira note may acquire up to fifty masters in one day. If money has a female gender designation, it would be the greatest whore the world has seen, or the most pitiful sex slave on the planet.

Waiting for the bus at the terminal the other day, when i desperately needed something or someone to distract me from the madness of Lagos queues, a young man caught my attention.

WHAT IF THEY HAVE BEEN HERE ?

It was a Saturday night, with a full moon and the stars spreading like and ocean over the dark blue sky. I loved watching horror movies outside, on our balcony, nights like this. This particular night included my sister sharing a large praying mat with me, as we enjoyed a movie titled ‘’The day the earth stood still’’ on my laptop.
A comet shot across the sky from our veranda’s view. I still suspect that was what inspired her to ask me the question ‘’ If ALIENS exist, have they been to Nigeria before?’’.

My Medilag Experience - The "419" tale.

Times without number,  I've heard the terms "419", "Jibiti","Smart guy", but I didn't know how it really worked until I experienced it myself and by God's grace, I'll never experience such again.
On that fateful Wednesday afternoon after ASUU strike, I was walking along the LUTH pathway and a not-too-young guy stopped me. I thought he wanted to ask for directions so I gave him audience.
